2025 Business Goals

Why does it feel like 2025 is only just starting now, in March?

January dragged on, but for me was laden with sickness (hello flu in summer) and darting from one thing to the next, February was gone in the blink of an eye... and so here we are.

Finally, some time to actually breathe, and think.

There's still a lot of 2025 left, and there's room for big goals to be set. Crafting big goals is actually so much fun.

There's a lot of people out there who absolutely hate "the chore" of thinking up goals - you might be one of them - but I think that everyone has goals, they just don't realise it.

Literally just staying in business might be all you want to do this year. And that's a goal. Doesn't have to be ambitious or crazy, or a lot of work to think about.

The 2025 goals I have for my business are:

1) Integrate AI into more parts of the business

2) Expand the team (not the family team this time haha - the business team!)

3) Launch a Xero course for small business owners

4) Raise my profile

These are just in a nutshell. I've got subgoals beneath them, and points on what I'll actually do. A couple of them I've already made major head ways into, purely by having smaller actionable tasks I've been able to incorporate into my overall to-do list.

The more detail you put into your goals, the better. That way, you can easily create smaller actionable tasks that weave your goals into your systems and processes, so that you can't help but progress towards them.

At the end of the day though, the real secret sauce to achieving your goals is discipline, and accountability is a good way to help with discipline. This is why I put my goals out there for everyone to see, and also use people outside of my business to keep me on track.

I'll do a check-in on these goals in a few months' time - see ya then!
